A few new layouts

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

New product is out at Jessica’s site, so that means time to play!!  :)   I don’t know about you, but sometimes as much as I’d love to create absolutely every scrabooking layout from scratch and be the diva of creativity, life gets busy… wait, did I say sometimes?  If you’re not familiar with quickpages they are essentially a layout that a designer has already created for you and you just have to add your photos and you’re done!  Usually you can tweak them a bit if you want, but the main beauty is that they are ready to go and they are well named, because they are seriously quick!!  You should really give one a spin just to feel out the speed and awesome results.  Here are two super easy ones and the links to find these in the store are below!

Mini Kit Freebie!!!

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Yep… I finally completed the mini-kit for the Art of Digital Design!!  Jessica did an amazing job {as ever} teaching the art of design this past May… I would highly recommend this class if you want to learn digital design or if you just want to take your skills deeper.

The culmination of the class is to finish a mini-kit and take an exam…so to celebrate finishing this class I am posting a layout using the elements and papers from my mini kit AND I am posting the link to download my mini kit for FREE!!!  Yep, tell your friends cause it’s free here and I can’t guarantee how long the link will be up, so get it now!

P.S.  If you do download the kit and if you like it would you leave me a comment?  Thanks!

11 dresses of summer

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

What is it that is just too adorable about little girl’s dresses?  Why don’t they make these dresses in sizes that women can wear?  Do dress designers just know we are lacking the cuteness factor necessary?  I’m so glad my little girl loves dresses!!  Oh, and I’m so glad that her Auntie Marion has girls that loved dresses they could pass on down the line…Thanks Auntie!  This Layout is for you… and me :) !

For a complete list of the supplies used in this kit hop on over to Jessica’s site and check out this layout in the gallery.

A Motorcycle Ride!

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Do you remember your first motorcycle ride?  I do!!  Well… actually it was a moped… but close to a motorcycle, right?  Yeah… anyway, I had no idea how to balance on the thing and I think I made the poor driver almost crash!  Eventually I got the hang of it and graduated to my first “real” motorcycle ride and it was FUN!!  Here’s a taste of A’s first motorcycle ride…at the end he said, “That was freaky!!  Can I go again?”  Uh-oh…

Summertime fun in the MUD!!!

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

One of the perks of living in the country {if you are a kid} is that there is almost always a ready supply of mud!  Mud seems to supply endless entertainment on a hot summers day… it’s cool… slimy… can be moved, shaped and flung!  I highly encourage these times of collaborative play because when you have a 9, 7 and 3 year old it’s hard to find something to do together that takes a unified effort and relates to everyone’s skill level… but mud fits the bill, so Hooray for MUD!!
